At Sunnybank Farm and Land, we both own and actively farm the land being used for BNG, allowing us to keep unit costs competitive. Our approach balances sustainable farming with meaningful ecological improvements that support insects, birds, and other wildlife.

We produce high-quality hay from our wildflower meadows to feed our flock of pure Herdwick sheep and Shorthorn cows through the winter. In the summer months, they graze across the meadows, helping to create a varied sward that encourages biodiversity.

Our beehives are perfectly positioned to pollinate the wildflowers, producing exceptional honey and playing a vital role in supporting a healthy, functioning ecosystem.
Off Site Units
Since the 10% Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) requirement became mandatory on 12th February 2024, many developers have faced uncertainty around how to meet their unit shortfall. With the cost of purchasing units from government bodies or large corporate providers often proving expensive, finding affordable, reliable alternatives has become increasingly important.
